Yea - I am in Dublin, Ireland with Crystal.  Someone recently asked, "why Dublin, why Ireland."  I would have to say that this person had probably lived in Ireland all of their life and lived a very sheltered life that they could not see the beauty of the land and the beauty of the spirit of the people of Ireland.

Unfortunately, I don't have pictures yet to show until my camera gets connected to the internet.  But Crystal and I are enjoying our visit.  Today we visited Trinity College & Library and got to see The Book of Kells and many other incunabula.  We visited the Guinness Storehouse and the National Art Gallery as we cruised around town on the hop-on-hop off bus.  And even though they said that the temp was only in the 50's we kept warm.
Tomorrow we should see more sunshine but being Sunday, less will be open.  Wil keep you posted!!!

The Garden

April / May are beautiful days here in Arizona.  Today started with heavy rain and moved on to gentle breeze, fluffy clouds, clear air and 76 degrees.  When I got home, I found that one of the little doves had built a nest out our front door.  If you remember a post from last year, there was one who built a nest in a plant that was resting on our outdoor grill.  It was almost 3 months before we could use the grill again as she had a 2nd egg laying right after the first.  I don't know how long this one has been nesting and each time I water the plants, I scare her (or him).  I'll have to watch & see what she does.

I spent a little time this afternoon taking photos of the many blossoms that popped up recently.  I don't know the name of this little bush but it is grey and sadly looks dead but is not dead.  You just have to look closely.

For more garden photos, jump over to my garden site at The Sorry Garden... I should have called it Ruth's Sorry Garden                    :-))

Home again, home again, jiggity jig...

Another 200 miles and we are home.  Willcox, AZ to Scottsdale, AZ a familiar drive and a welcome into the Sonoran Desert.  Not too bad temp wise as I heard that it has reached 100 in some parts of the country and we are still only in the 80's.  All is well at home with just a few plant casualties.  Lots of laundry to do and grocery shopping and some quite time to get back into the rhythm of "home".  When I get some quiet time, I will take some photos of all the cactus which are in bloom on our small acre.
